About the Escape
Trauma turns up in every clinical setting, usually without a diagnostic label on it. Would you know what to do with a client who has experienced trauma? If not - this training is for you.
Trauma Essentials (Level 1) is a four-day residential escape to the Margaret River Wine Region building an accurate, working understanding of trauma and its neurobiology, for health professionals who meet trauma constantly in their workplace but were never formally taught about it. No prior trauma training is assumed. This training will allow you to make confident, ethical decisions inside your scope: knowing when to educate, contain, treat or refer. Expert clinical teaching, expert hospitality - all set within one of the most ruggedly beautiful areas of Australia.

A note on level
This is a Level 1 course. It is not designed to qualify you as a trauma therapist. It builds accurate recognition, safe and ethical responses (assessment and support) within scope, and clear referral checklists. If you already work confidently with trauma and want treatment-level skills, Level 2 and 3 run later in 2027.
