Our approach
Inspired by the concept of a murmuration—the coordinated movement of starlings—Starling Health Collective is grounded in the belief that connection, collaboration, and attunement are central to movement and change.

Bringing a systemic lens, Dr Alice Morgan believes that training clinicians in mental health can provide broad impact in mental health support in the community. Alice's work is trauma-informed, relational, and evidence-based at its core, while remaining warm, human and intentionally down-to-earth in tone. Our trainings are workshop based, and combine presentations of the current evidence-base with role-plays, reflective discussions and collaborative input that increase clinician confidence in their own work. We also believe that clinicians learn best when supported by peers, so build in Communities of Practice to all our work.
We value diversity and work with people from all backgrounds, honouring each individual’s lived experience, culture and perspective. Above all, we aim to create spaces—clinical, professional, and restorative—where people feel safe, understood, and supported to grow.

Clinical foundations
Our clinical work draws on established, evidence-based approaches, including:
-
Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR)
-
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
-
Trauma-informed and attachment-informed frameworks

We have particular experience supporting individuals with complex trauma, medical trauma, chronic illness and pain, occupational stress, and presentations shaped by cumulative or long-term adversity (see more on Therapy page).

Our professional development and supervision work reflects these same foundations, with a strong emphasis on reflective practice, sustainability, and ethical care in high-intensity clinical environments.
